Let talk STD’s

Hello ladies! So I’m coming right out and saying it. I have HSV 2 which is genital herpes. I know I’m not the only one so this message is for all the women who have an STD. Don’t be ashamed. Normalize it so that people are more aware of how much it sucks. Don’t be embarrassed. You’d be shocked how many people have one or have had one. It happens. 🧡 you’re all still worthy and wonderful no matter what. If you’re brave enough share your story.

When I found out I had herpes was obviously at the doctor office. I went in for a yeast infection and she found the bump. I was devastated. 19 years old. The last guy I slept with used a condom he bought in Mexico… like 5 years before. It hurt so bad and it broke. He didn’t have anymore and my dumb ass said it’s fine. At the time neither one of us knew we had herpes but we both got a bump. I hated him and he hated me. The things he said to me broke my heart especially since I hadn’t known him super long. I didn’t choose to get an STD, but I’m not embarrassed about it. My husband chose to love me and accepted it. He contracted the virus but he didn’t care. I’ve learned how to manage it and I taught him. I will never let this bring me down and make me miserable ever again.
