35+6weeks and very high platelet count

I haven’t been feeling the best in late pregnancy and my latest blood test has come back showing I have a high platelet count, does anyone have any insight into what this means? At my latest scan babies growth had dropped a little on the growth curve too.

I can tell it has made my care team a little anxious as I’ve had multiple sets of bloods done, sent to the hospital for monitoring for me and bubs and several more appointments set up that I wouldn’t have had otherwise.

My doctor said that a high count is 400+ and mine is over 1000. All I have been told is I am high risk of blood clots but not much else. Has this happened to anyone else? What were you told? I’ve to see my midwife today “just to keep an eye on me before consultant makes a plan”
