Too available?

Is it possible to make yourself too available to someone you’re interested in? Because if you like someone, you’re going to want to talk to them a lot. Someone told me don’t answer every time a person you like calls you, to miss a phone call or two and then call them back later. But if I like you and you call me, I’m gonna want to answer! Thoughts? Is this immature or is it valid?
