10 month old gross motor delays
My 10 month old does not put weight on her legs to stand and she also doesn’t crawl. She’s very easily overstimulated by pictures (tv, phone, etc). I’m not a fan of sitting her in front of the tv for several hours but it is one of her favorite activities. She loves Disney movies, she babbles to the songs and even laughs when a funny part comes on. If it’s a emotional part she senses it and smiles while flapping her arms. When she’s overstimulated or curious about something she flaps her arms, slaps her feet together, & her head does a jerking movement similar to a tic like Tourette’s. At first it seems like autism and she may even still be on the spectrum but she exceeds every other milestone for her age range. She has no problem with feeding besides she doesn’t want me to feed her she would rather feed herself. She’s not a cryer only when she’s hungry, needs a changing, uncomfortable, etc. Loud sounds don’t bother her. She makes great personal connections with her family and outsiders, she answers to her name, smiles, makes direct eye contact, etc. She plays with toys just fine and picks up a crumb or cracker with no problem. She holds her bottle with no problem just those few issues I mentioned above. I scheduled a doctor appointment for her I’m just waiting on them to contact me. Any other moms dealt with similar situations? Edit: I should note that the tv part is not my fault. Me and my husband both have jobs so they were left with my sister in law who doesn’t have any kids of her own. She would often turn on the tv for my two kids. I knew they were safe so I trusted her with them although she lacked parenting skills. I did leave my job to be at home with my children because of course nobody can do it like a mom can. She does not sit in front of the tv all day she has play time in her Walker, goes on walks in her stroller, has a playpen, etc she would just much rather watch tv.
