I can’t contain my 21 month old and I’m going insane

My 21 month old has learned how to climb out of his crib, and his play area.

We can’t contain him anywhere anymore and it is rough. He’s also going through a sleep regression and his sleep habits have done a complete 180. He went from napping 5 hours a day to not at all. Going to sleep perfect every night to staying up until 2am laughing and he won’t calm down no matter what I do. He constantly gets out of bed giggling, laughing and wired and doesn’t understand he needs to stay in bed. This all happened over one night and has been happening for a few days now.

I feel like I’m on a newborn schedule just trying to make sure he doesn’t get hurt from roaming the house.

He eats everything in sight so I have to keep a close eye on him. I can’t shower anymore, I can’t get anything done unless my husband is home.

I’m sleep deprived, pregnant, and stressed out and he is an expert climber so baby gates don’t work. I thought about buying a taller play area but I’m afraid he will just climb that too. I tried putting socks on him so his feet can’t grip but it doesn’t matter at all he can still easily climb.

I don’t know what to do, he’s not able to roam the house because he will find the one thing he shouldn’t have even though everything is mostly baby proof and I seriously don’t know how he does it. He will find like a thumb tack somewhere and we haven’t even bought thumbtacks in years, stuff like that. He even tore half the blinds down off the window and tore it up into teeny tiny sharp pieces, and I don’t even know he reached it!

I’m terrified he’s gonna get hurt. Is there a non climbable baby gate of some kind?

How do I survive a sleep regression? It’s the most intense one I’ve experienced.
