Husband’s job won’t give raises
My husband has been working for a major Bank company for 6 years now. Unfortunately, he’s only making $22/hr. Back in November, his company sent emails to all of the employees saying that they will be given raises in January. Well, here it is almost July and only the employees who are considered “lower level”have gotten the raises. Now, those lower level employees are marking more than my husband and his entire team because for some reason, they have not received their raises. New employees are coming in fresh out of high school making more than my husband, his team, and even his supervisors. There are other employees who haven’t received the raises as well. Like only 10% of the employees received the raises. I asked my husband that maybe they misread the emails, and only select employees we’re supposed to get the raises, but my husband confirmed from the email and even his supervisors that all employees were promised raises by the end of January. They have sent emails asking why they haven’t received their raises, but the only answer that has been given is that “they are working to fix the problem.” I told my husband at this point just start looking for another job, but he wants to stick it out.
Has anyone had experience with this before? Is there anything they can do? They all have the emails promising them raises by the end of January, but here it is almost July, and still nothing….
