My mom makes my bf sleep in the basement

I am 24 years old. My boyfriend lives an hour away and just started sleeping over on nights we’re out late about 2 months ago. For two months, I have been making him sleep in the basement. (My basement is finished but still it’s the basement). Last night my basement was extremely hot (it’s 90 degrees here and there is no AC down there).

My parents fell asleep and I didn’t think it would be a big deal to have him sleep in my room because it’s air conditioned. 📢 I DIDNT EVEN SLEEP IN THE BED WITH HIM. Of course I wanted to but I knew my parents wouldn’t like that so I went into my sisters bed with her. I woke up this morning to my mom telling me we will be having a talk later because she doesn’t like that and to make him sleep in the basement.

What would you do if you were me? Do I respect her ridiculous requests or do I tell her well I’m 24 and I’m not going to make him sleep down there forever. I’m frustrated!
