Do you drink coffee while pregnant? Is it something common amongst expecting moms to drink in the mornings? I I’ve had HG (severe nausea) in my last 2 pregnancy so nothing sits with me. When I’m not pregnant I LOVE drinking coffee in the am and pm so I’m wondering if an expecting mom without severe nausea like me gets to drink coffee normally? …

I survive off of coffee, and I was not able to even stomach the smell of it from about week 6 until week 14 or 15. I just now am starting to be able to drink it again

I drink iced coffee from Dunkin not for the caffeine but the flavors😂 I’ve been getting a medium iced cake batter or caramel swirl  5 & 5. My boyfriend thinks I have diabetes or something cuz if I do t have sugary drinks or foods I’m extremely tired and weak

Thank you so much ladies. I think this is what’s happening to me now. During my first trimester I couldn’t even smell it. But I’m going to give it a try because I’m feeling a little better. Coffee is my go to and I have 3 kids and run a family own business is feeling tired and no energy all the time is not good for me. So I want to try to drink coffee again in hopes it will get me going again. Gosh I miss it too lol coffee and water is all I know when I’m not pregnant so it sucks! Lol

I started to get really intense migraines (I’m trying not to take Tylenol as much as I can, or anything else). When I told my OB, he said that the first choice they recommend is Tylenol, but the second is caffeine. As long as you limit caffeine intake and drink no more than 160mg a day, (technically 200mg) it is considered safe. Whenever I would get these I would either make home brewed coffee (medium roast) or I would check nutrition facts on Starbucks for the coffee I wanted. I always look and see. Sometimes the coffee I want is 160mg but I ask for it to be “half-caf” which means 1/2 decaf, 1/2 regular. Even though 160 is technically safe, I just have a little bit so I can’t even tell that it’s only lightly caffeinated. Hope this helps!

The first trimester the only thing that helped me get rid of the nausea was to stop drinking coffee. For me it triggers it! I’m 17 weeks now and won’t be drinking it until this baby is born, too scared of feeling sick again 🥹
