Newborn list...?

Question

There are so many things to buy for a newborn baby and I don't no where to start. Can anyone who's been through it give me an idea of what I need. TIA

I'll say, be careful you don't end up buying stuff you won't need. We bought things as we needed them. It saved us some money because the lists and advices we were given was a lot more.
Baby needs a safe place to sleep. And diapers. Depending on how you plan to feed the baby, you'll likely need things for that. For breastfeeding that would be nipple cream such as lanolin, pads, nursing bras and perhaps something if you get sores.
You need to be able to transport baby around. Maybe you need a car seat? Maybe a stroller? Maybe you walk a lot and need a carrier or wrap or ringsling? 
- But again, especially the last thing. Buy it when you need it. 
Might want something to give baby a bath in. 
You'll need some clothes for baby. Size is hard to predict. The smallest sizes might be outgrown really quickly. 
My best advice is ask yourself, could I wait and buy this if I needed it? If yes, then wait till you have the need 😊

Expect people to gift you clothes, books, and toys, so wait to buy any of that until after your showers or you're closer to your due date. I would start by buying the bigger items. You'll for sure need a crib and mattress. Optional purchases that I recommend are a bassinet, changing table/pad, breast pump (if breastfeeding), and a rocker/bouncer (a cheap one works just fine).

I’m in the same boat as you and so far I’ve bought essentials only and I’m letting everyone else gift me the non-essentials. 
So I’ve bought;
Nursery furniture (all second hand from Facebook Marketplace besides the cot)
Push chair 
Bedside crib
Diapers, baby wipes, nappy sacks
Clothes such as:
Outfits, sleep suits, vests
Socks, towels, blankets, muslins and bib
Mattress
I’ve been gifted:
Clothes, a baby bouncer, toys, baby bath
I have yet to buy:
A breast bump, play mat, bottle steriliser and a few other small bits and pieces 
My baby shower is September and my birth is due October.
