Anyone able to get pregnant while still breastfeeding ?

My baby is 13 months and still BF 3-4 times a day 😑 I am having a hard time with starting the weaning process because she mostly only goes to sleep if nursed. I know it’s not ideal. I would like to start trying for #2 asap. I get my period regularly like clock work, started 2 months after birth even with EBF. unsure if I should attempt TTC while still BF if it could cause issues or miscarriage. Anyone have a similar circumstance?

I am still breastfeeding my 17m old and I’m 22w pregnant. I still feed her about 4 times a day and never stopped when we were TTC.

Yes. I got pregnant while breastfeeding my 14 months old. My milk supply dried out when I was 14weeks along. Had to stop when she was 17-18months old.

when I got pregnant, my milk started slowly drying up so it was basically helping me with weaning my daughter off. Breastfeeding is okay in pregnancy unless your OB tells you otherwise due to your own individual circumstances.

Yep! I got pregnant at 8mo pp while I was still nursing 8-10 times a day. There are no increased risks to nursing while pregnant but it is a lot for your body so proper nourishment is key.

I don’t think it can cause issues but I tried for about ten months to get pregnant while breastfeeding with no luck, got pregnant two months after I stopped, however my cousin is breastfeeding and just got pregnant again so I think it depends on how often and if your body is ready

Unfortunately I don’t have any similar experiences but you can most definitely get pregnant while breastfeeding. The fact that your periods are regular is a good sign. There is no risk of miscarriage either, you can also nurse while pregnant.
