Help with tooth pain

Sam

*Long post* I have a broken molar with an infection and I don’t know what to do for pain management. My dentist couldn’t get me in until January, so I went to the ER like 4 days ago where they prescribed antibiotics, and gave me the numbing shot in my gums. They had me alternating Tylenol and Ibuprofen. They moved my dentist appointment to next month for extraction. I was using a heating pad because it seemed to help a bit, but I read cold is better so I’m using an ice pack along with sleeping on a cold pillow. My swelling and pain got worse, so I went to the walk-in-clinic today and they gave me a different antibiotic in the form of a shot and prescribed a stronger antibiotic along with Tylenol-codeine. I still feel immense pain and I can’t eat anything that requires chewing. I tried laying in the sun and that alleviated it a tiny bit. I’ve rubbed and old prescription of lidocaine on it and that numbs it long enough for me to eat and swish with salt water. I can’t even get a full few hours of sleep without waking up in agonizing pain. I know it’s gross, but I haven’t been able to fully brushed my teeth since this started. Just my tongue and left side. I even tried Kratom the other night which helped a lot with the pain, but it made me feel horribly sick and dizzy, so I can’t do that again. I’m just looking for any suggestions to help even the slightest bit, even if just for comfort while I wait this out.
