If these are low, am I considered anemic? Waiting to hear from Doc.

My blood test this week showed 10.4 which is low. But 10.5 can still be normal range when in the late trimester. I'm aware the Normal range is above 11. But pregnancy can be a pain and can safely drop to 10.5 with not many risks. They are not really classing me as anemic as it's only 0.1 lower than normal and I can still have my homebirth as long as it doesn't drop anymore😅

These look similar to my results back in June. For me personally my doctor told me I was slightly anemic but that she expected to see that because of my pregnancy . She told me that would explain my extreme fatigue and told me I didn’t have to do anything . But an iron supplement  wouldn’t hurt .

My hemoglobin was 10.9 as well, they did recommend an iron supplement just to get it up a bit but it it made me so much more constipated. I asked if I could take the iron every other day and the Dr said that was fine since it was borderline and they really want to see you above 11, but I would still absorb enough every other day.

I recently started back up on iron pills because I was considered anemic. And now I don’t miss a night hardly taking them. It has helped so much with the terrible restless legs I was having, along with my overall fatigue. I’m still tired and starting to have insomnia- but not nearly as much. Also my shortness of breath has improved some.

No these are low, it is borderline acceptable level for a pregnant woman, so no, you are not anemoc, but by that they would suggest an iron supplement.

If it says they're low yes that usually means ur not getting enough iron, I take liquid iron called floravit and that helped my iron go back up
