Hormone imbalance after miscarriage, 31 y.o.

milkteabunny

I had a natural miscarriage at 12 weeks back in January. I feel like something is seriously wrong with my body since.

Everyone says things go back to normal within a few weeks to a few months, but I never did. My periods are so much lighter now, and they’re longer. I used to have a heavy flow for 2 days, which would lighten over like 2 or 3 more days (so 4-5 days total). Now, I have a medium flow for the first 2 days, and the remaining days are light (6-7 days total). I never really have clots anymore, which I had before.

What’s worse, I am extremely depressed during the late luteal phase. Like very, very dark place depressed. It can’t be normal. I’ll have crying spells for absolutely no reason; it feels like all the happiness and hope is sucked out of me. It goes away once my period comes. My luteal phase is also kind of short—11 to 12 days. Idk how long it was before bc I didn’t track anything.

I have CD3 hormone testing tomorrow. They’re going to do a full panel. I’m happy bc I want to get to the bottom of it and fix it, but I’m also so scared that they might find something terribly wrong with me and tell me I’ll never be able to have a baby or something😞 it’s irrational, but I’m so scared.

I had my AMH and FSH tested a few months ago. They were in the normal range. My bbt chart is normal and shows ovulation along with OPKs. My estrogen was very low at CD3 last time, but no one seemed concerned.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Can you please reassure me? I’m so scared this miscarriage ruined my body somehow😔 It was my only pregnancy, and I just want a baby..
