High risk for Down Syndrome

Hi all,

I'm 17 weeks today and met with a genetic counselor a few days ago who said my risk of having a baby with Down syndrome is 1 in 53. It works out to only 1.9% chance but still has me worried. I did the NIPT and am impatiently waiting for the results. The NT measurement and 1st trimester bloodwork was fine. The 2nd trimester bloodwork showed high hcg (4.7 MoM) and relatively normal everything else. I will love and raise my baby no matter what, but at 26 down syndrome never even crossed my mind. Advice? Thoughts? Thanks
