Is "Sailor" more of a boy or girl name?

Im currently pregnant with twins and were not sure what the genders are but were already thinking of names. If theres a girl, if not two, I want to name one "Sailor" but my boyfriend doesn't think of it as a name at all and my mom thinks its more of a boy name. Help?

Was a popular girls name in my area where i worked in a hospital about 2 years ago. Not necessarily a huge fan of it.....but I've heard worse....

My daughters name is Sayler Jace. It's becoming a new trend now that the celebrities have gotten wind of it. I've met little boys named Sailor. It can be either.

I know of a spanish girl who's name sounds like sailor but spelt differently, and I think translated to English is Sheila. And I thought that was pretty, but I probably would spell it as Sailor but that's just my opinion x
