Thinking about going natural

I'm a first time mom and I have always said I am for sure going to have an epidural but now that I'm actually pregnant, I am having second thoughts. I only know one person personally who has gone natural and visiting her after her birth...she seemed to be in much better shape than the people I know who have had an epidural. I was wanting to hear some other June mommas opinions! I'm terrified of labor either way I choose but I just don't know what decision to make! I would love to hear some opinions for both sides
