Things i hate about people when I'm pregnant...
I can't be the only one who Hates this, but I've had a baby before. A full term healthy baby boy so this isn't my first rodeo.
Something I HATE is when you decide you want to be induced or have an elective C-section at 37,38,39 weeks and someone comes along and instead of wishing you well and hoping it goes good they hit you with questions or judgement.
"Why did you choose to be induced this early"
"Why are you choosing a C-section this early"
"You should let baby come when theyre ready"
"Why does your doctor want to do this and why are you agreeing"
"You should wait until full term because (lists reasons)"
I get it. Everyone has opinions or concerns and that is okay. BUT if a mother CHOOSES to deliver a certain way or before 40 weeks, support her instead of questioning her. pregnancy is HARD and the last thing we need is to be questioned or judged.
If you want to wait 40+ weeks to deliver, that's fine. But some women (especially if it's their 2nd+ baby) get exhausted and tired and they just want it to be over. They shouldn't have to explain their reasons to anyone as to why they are choosing their birth plan. As long as the doctor supports it and sees no cause for concern, just wish her a safe delivery and move on. Don't judge or bombard her with questions
This really aggravates me because I see it a lot and have experienced it as well. If you have no words of support then please don't say anything at all. Not everyone can be perfect like you
