Painful breastfeeding

Ok so at first I had a little pain nursing but it went away quickly. My little one is 3weeks old now and she refuses a pacifier so she likes to suckle on me well over the last week when she is actually eating it's ok but when she suckled it HURTS. Well now she has done that enough that it hurts to nurse her period reguardless of how she is sucking and I'm absolutely miserable. I have access to lactation consultants but they are very expensive. I'm just looking for some pointers in how to resolve this bc at this point I dread feeding her from the moment she finishes eating
