Price of Tubaligation

I have UMR and I called them on my own to ask what percentage I’d owe and he told me it’s covered at 100%. My doctors office called and got my benefits run down and told me it goes towards my 3k deductible so I have to pay $1800 something upfront and that’s not including the hospital charge. We have insurance through my husbands company so it’s private and not Medicaid. Is a tubal usually covered? That’s what one of the billing ladies told me it usually is but then why are they charging me my deductible? Was yours covered? If it wasn’t how much did you pay?
