What are the chances?

Backstory; emergency C-section due to failed induction was 4 years ago. No blood pressure problems then. But Been on baby aspirin since this pregnancy started; currently 37.4 weeks.
Although my OB constantly states she’s not too concerned about it, she went ahead & scheduled a C-section at the end of this month due to slightly elevated blood pressure.. My question is, if anything happens between then, like say starts labor at home, what are my chances of being able to do a vbac despite my blood pressure?! Or there’s def not a chance.

There's always a chance. Don't let them pressure you. But you need a second opinion. The thing I've noticed on here is, that in the us the doctor LOVE to intervene to make things quicker and easier for THEM. They can monitor you while you're in labour. If your blood pressure is through the roof, they can always still do the Csection. Just make sure you know what blood pressure is normal and what is dangerous so you can tell if they're scaremongering you or if what they're saying is correct.

What was the reason for scheduling a C-section instead of scheduling an induction? Or does your doc just not do induction for VBAC (some don’t)?

If they scheduled a csection, generally they do everything to get you in for a csection unless you're too far advanced in labour
