Baby shower planning help

Anyone else have to plan their own baby shower?

I found out today from two people (family member and a coworker who spills tea) that no one was planning on doing it. I was even told to go ahead and plan my own. This is a quadruple rainbow baby. So my mom said “But did you want one? Before baby is born? Because this is high risk I think people might be a little worried to plan something?”… my losses were all in early pregnancy and even my obgyn doesn’t call my pregnancy high risk (even though im 40) because all my tests (NIPS included) and ultrasounds have been perfect. So yes I wanted one. Lol. I wanted to celebrate!

Anyway. Advice on throwing your own party and not having it seem like you just want gifts? Maybe a lunch or brunch shower? Idk. I feel like this baby deserves to be celebrated. Any creative ideas?? I’m stuck in basic mode.
