Too early to collect colostrum?

Hey! So I’m 15 weeks 4 days. I’m not referring to actually expressing the colostrum, only catching the drops that leak out anyway. I only started having them maybe a few days ago. I have maybe 5-10 drops before and/or after I shower that I notice. I don’t have another appointment until Sept 23, or I’d just wait and ask my OB. Anybody know if this is too early to collect? Or is it even worth bothering with at this point? Thanks in advance!!

If you're not expressing (by hand it pump) then it's okay to collect if that's what you're wanting to do. Colostrum comes in handy if you're not able to breastfeed right away and you don't want your child getting formula in the hospital. There's plenty of time to collect later but if you're wanting to collect now you can. Just no expressing of any kind :)
