Any tips?

My 8 month old just does not sleep at night. I dont expect her to sleep through the night but she is awake, minimum, 6-8x per night and sometimes it's as much as every 45-60 minutes. She is still in a mini crib next to our bed, mainly for convenience since she wakes up so much. We've tried to transition her to her own room, but she just screams if she's left alone.

I feel like ive tried everything: more naps, less naps, earlier bedtime, later bedtime, eating dinner closer to bedtime, formula bottle in addition to breastfeeding before bed, keeping her active during the day to burn energy, consistent bedtime routine, gripe water for gas, tylenol for teething, etc and nothing seems to work. I feel like a failure and I'm starting to dread nighttime.

I'd rather not let her cry it out or do sleep training. It just goes against my mommy instincts and I don't like it.

Has anyone been where i am? Do you have ant tips or words of encouragement?
