Marriage young (good idea?)

Hi guys me and my boyfriend have been together for awhile and our 2 year anniversary is coming up and from the longest time I’ve never wanted to get married or anything but than I met him and after a month of being together I genuinely pictured a life , marriage , and kids together even though I never pictured that for my life . 
I than mentioned after a year or so about marriage and he said he never wanted to get married one day just in causal conversation and he than said he never did want to get married it just wasn’t his thing . 
I dropped it and accepted it however hoped maybe his ideas would change. 
Me and my boyfriend have been having issues recently (I don’t want to discuss those ) and than he mentioned marriage to me and how he wanted to now. 
I don’t know if he’s doing it because he feels bad for how he treated me or if he’s genuine he hasn’t proposed yet however said he wanted too and would surprise me. 
However my question is I’m 18, he’s 25 I’ve heard bad things about marriage young and wanted peoples opinions. (Please no hate .)

Also the fact that he’s 25 concerns me. You would’ve been 16 and 23 when you got together? That’s big ick.
I’m 23 and in a totally different world to a 16 year old. You’re still in puberty at 16.

I really want to be able to support your relationship and your idea of marriage. But being 22 I could NEVER talk to an 18 year old.. nevertheless a 16 year old… how old you would’ve been when he was 23. Really put some thought into this relationship this is a major red glad. You’ll come to realize this in a few years. I would be really careful moving forward in a relationship with him. I don’t want to be hurtful or unsupportive but I’ve been where you are 18 and 28 it wasn’t until it was over I realized how terrible that was.

It really depends on the couple and relationship. My fiancé is 21 and I 18 we’re planning ours for spring 24, but we haven’t done it out of pity or concern. We are doing it because we want to spend the rest of our lives together genuinely. Marriage is not a thing to take lightly. Make sure it’s for love not anything else💙

I'm 25 now and we have a child together but I honestly wish I would have waited. People change so much and when you're young you don't realize because you're so in the moment.

You’re only 18 if it were me I would wait until the brain’s fully developed which normally happens around 25 this is a huge detection and if you two are really in love he’ll wait for you. At the end of the day marriage is just label and weather or not you have it shouldn’t effect the love you have for each other

I got married at 21 and booooy oh boy I wish I would have waited. Listen people change. They aren’t the same in marriage majority of the time. If you are 18 def wait it out you have a LOOOOOONG time to get married. No need to rush as he isn’t going anywhere. All it means is you’re in a relationship but it’s legal and on paper. And say it doesn’t work out the loooong process of a divorce is horrible. Enjoy your teen years go out travel. Also live with the person and you’ll really see how they are I wish I would have done that with my husband I guarantee I would have changed my mind before marrying him. I love my man don’t get me wrong lol but maaan have we clashed heads bc of how he is used to living and how I’m used to living .
