Hydrocele / tummy issues?
My baby is almost 8 months old, and he has had a hydrocele since birth. For anyone who doesn’t know what that is I’ll attach a picture of the meaning. It says it’s common but I have never known another baby to have it. I also haven’t had any luck trying to find information about it, or seen any other questions about it on here. On top of that, my baby has been the absolute FUSSIEST and grumpy baby I have ever known. And he’s always seemed to have tummy problems/lot of aches. Could this have anything to do with his hydrocel? He’s rarely ever calm. I can’t have anyone babysit him, they don’t know how to handle and deal with this level of fussiness, so I constantly have to take care of a screaming baby and sometimes I need a break 😭 the last time I talked to his pediatrician, they shrugged it off as it’s a “normal baby thing”.. but that was probably 2+ months ago. Anyways he has an appointment about his hydrocele pretty soon and I’m thinkin he will have to get it drained. Most the time his cry sounds like an in pain cry, like he’s uncomfortable and he arches his back. It’s intense. Just wondering if anyone on here has dealt with this? Is this really normal? Is his hydrocele causing his intestines to hurt? Or is he actually just a more fussy baby than normal… he’s too old for colic so I don’t understand. Sorry this is lengthy
Also wanted to add, my baby was big at birth and now is really small for his age. He’s in a lot of 3-6 months clothes still and skinny. Not sure if his stomach problem could be effecting his small weight/ structure
