Am I wrong ?

This may sound silly, I work full time. Money has been tight, I bought some bacon that I can make for my daughter and I on my day off. I went and got fancy expensive bacon lol, today I didn’t have time to make it and I saw my dad used the entire pack. I went out and bought less expensive bacon because I saw the one I got other one was used. When I got home, I nicely said hey I got bacon to make for when I’m off can you please not use it? My mom said oh well it was your dad who used it not me. 10 min later my dad is angry I said that and is going on a rampage. I don’t think I was mean about it? I didn’t get mad I got more and just nicely asked if they don’t use the one I just got.
