Anyone end up ovulating while taking a break from fertility meds?

So I took letrozole for two cycles (ovulated both times) but this cycle I decided to take a break so we can figure out what’s going on with my partners sperm and if his analysis is low because of smoking and having sex to much he’s had all the test done there’s really no explanation for his low count any way we normally have sex every single day and he doesn’t really get time to build back up so this cycle we were trying not to have sex but we ended up having sex twice in what would have been my fertile window I guess my question is, is there a chance I could have ovulated without taking the letrozole this month I’m young (22) and was thinking maybe taking the medicine and ovulating consistently for two months might of helped my hormones get back to normal? Has anyone ovulated while taking a break from letrozole?
