Possible Silent Miscarriage 😢 (TW)

My husband and I were over the moon when we found out we were expecting our second. I had three miscarriages before we finally had our son. Yesterday I went to my transvaginal for a dating and heartbeat scan. We are supposed to be 8 weeks along. The lady told us if everything went well she would give us a picture. During the scan she was completely silent and the only thing she asked was if my periods were regular which I said yes they are.

Afterwards she just said it was over and didn’t print a picture. My husband said he saw no flicker and the baby looked much smaller than he expected. I’m really afraid that the heart wasn’t beating. Has anyone had this happen and had a good outcome? My doctor is supposed to call me with news today but this is just tearing me apart thinking the worst has happened. 😭💔
