What worked for you and your kids?

I plan to stick to one crib. I’ll use a bassinet, then playpen in our room for the second just as I did my first. 
By time my oldest is ready for a big girl bed (we are doing a floor bed around 2), babe number 2 will take over the crib.
We like to keep babe in our room until age 1.

My kids are 15 months apart and we used a mini crib for my second for the first year and then bought a second full size (convertible) crib. My older kid is still in his crib.
