Timing off?

Did we not have sex the right days? My husband is a firefighter so he wasn’t home on the night I ovulated. Almost at 1 year of trying, before I make an appt with an infertility specialist I want to make sure we’re having sex at the right time.

Are you confirming ovulation with anything else besides the app ? Because it could be off I know it’s always correct for me tho I’ve seen multiple people where it isn’t correct for them also sperm can live up to 5-7 days so as long as your having sex in your fertile window you can possibly get pregnant. Just to make sure your ovulation is correct tho try using ovulation test

I ovulated a week earlier that predicted with an app. Everyone is different, the app is a generic cycle

Try using opks and start having sex every other day around the middle of your cycle

Track ovulation. And have sex every other day. Don’t rely on the app especially if you haven’t been tracking ovulation, it was a week off for me

Are you tracking with anything other than the app? 
The app is just a guess without 6+ months of data (opk AND bbt) inputted. 
You very likely could be ovulating sooner or later than the app guesses therefore the timing of sex could be off. 
Try using opks and/or bbt to better pinpoint ovulation.

The app is just a guess so there’s really no way of knowing, your timing could be perfect or a week off 🤷🏼‍♀️
