Do you put baby on shopping cart or stroller?

Question

When you go shopping with an infant , do you put the car seat on your stroller or the stores shopping cart? I want to go to target and will need to take my baby with me but to be honest I have no idea how to safely put the car seat on a shopping cart.

I put the car seat in the big part of the cart. Clipping the car seat onto the little basket at the top is dangerous & can mess up the car seat

Shopping alone and don’t need a lot of room for groceries? Large part of the cart. Need the entire cart for groceries? Baby carrier/wrap. 
Shopping with someone else? Wear baby or use a stroller

When I had to go the store with my son when he was really little, I would use a baby wrap. Most the time though I had my groceries delivered because I felt like a mess getting out of the house

If I was shopping alone for a small quantity, I’d put the car seat in the basket of the cart or use the stroller. 
If I was shopping alone for a large quantity, I’d baby wear. 
If I was shopping with my husband, one of us would either baby wear or use the stroller depending on what we wanted to do at the time and the mood our daughter was in.

Stroller, I have twins though. I just put everything I need at the bottom of the stroller.

I think a carrier is most convenient. I’ve put the car seat inside of the shopping cart (like in the basket area) when I’ve gone shopping and forgot the stroller, but you can’t fit a lot of items in there (the car seat basically takes up the whole basket). & when I go shopping with the stroller I still can’t fit a lot of items in the stroller. When my shopping list is on the longer side I try to go with my partner so one of us can push the stroller & one can push the shopping cart. If you have a carrier / baby sling it would be easiest.

If I need more than a few things I put the car seat in the large part of the cart. Couple things I place under the stroller. I’ve also done the baby carrier but it was a major hassle to get things out of the cart while wearing my son so it took twice as long to check out. Maybe because I’m pretty tall so I felt like I was tipping him upside down

I took our stroller in until my son was 13-15 months old. It felt safer because he tried licking /biting everything.  The stroller we got has a huge basket too so it was very convenient.

If I was going on a planned trip to the store that I knew would take longer, I’d definitely use the baby carrier. For quick errands, leaving them in the car seat in the large part of the cart is fine.
