My 6 week old is formula fed. He was born at 8 oz even and 21 inches long. He came home eating about 2 oz per feeding and was at 4 oz per feeding by the end of week 1. He gradually got to about 5-6 oz per feeding by about 4 weeks. Now at 6 weeks he is eating anywhere from 2-6 oz per feeding. Some feedings he just won’t take more than 2/3 oz. For the past few days he is only eating about 22-24 oz per day.

He just had his 1 month appt yesterday and weighed 11lbs even. Doctor said he is not concerned with how often or how much he eats at each feeding specifically because his weight and growth since birth is really good.

Should I be concerned? Has anyone had experience with their 1 month old eating less than they usually have? Or less times per day?
