My dumb ass boyfriend

So my lovely idiot of a boyfriend got a little too drunk before I left for the holiday and basically told me he feels like I want to want him but am not sure I'm ready for a serious relationship. This all started because I have A LOT of guy friends and my number is way higher than his is. It makes him insecure but nothing I say or do seems to make it better. How can I show or convince him that this is what I want and he has no need to feel so insecure? Cause honestly he's awesome.
