Baptism catholic, baby turned 7 months old…

Not sure how strict my childhood church will be. Want baby baptized but haven’t been in years. I want my son baptized at a small age. My cousin just had her daughter baptized and she was born two weeks after my son. I feel so behind.

Also is it bad if we get our son baptized and do his party a few months later? My husband’s job is laying him off and we don’t have the extra funds for a party to host 60 people with food etc?
