Collecting Colostrum - but intend to bottle feed

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone collected colostrum while pregnant for bub to get that initial extra nutrients after birth… but then moved to bottle/formula feeding afterward?

I had ALOT of trouble breastfeeding my last baby… it wasn’t due to lack of supply. I had more than enough milk to feed 2 babies… but i ended up with horrible nipple trauma and mastitis. It really took its toll on me…

I really don’t want to go through that again. But I would like to still give bub what i’m leaking now once she is born.

Does this seem silly? Has anyone else done something similar?
