I have 4 kids, 5, 3, 2, and 7 months. I make sure none of them feel left out

For us, not really. However, my brother is 7 years older so we basically grew up as only children. My ex step-sister and I are 4 years apart and also didn't interact growing up. I avoided her and we only interacted when we had to. When the 3 of us are around each other our ex step-sister is left out by me as I don't hide the fact that I'm ignoring her.

My brother & I are 2 years apart we were super close my sister is 12 years apart from me & 10 from my brother she definitely felt alone since soon as me & my brother started going out and having boyfriends & girlfriends but I did try to include her every now and again on dates that I can take her on with my now husband but my brother went MIA with his now Fiancé lol. So I guess it really depends on the gap.
