Collecting milk

At what point did you ladies start collecting colostrum/milk?

FTM I’m 37+5 and being induced on 10/24 at 39 weeks. Today I feel like a freaking cow, my nipples are leaking non-stop. They were squirting during sex but thankfully my husband was turned on by it. I don’t have any colostrum collectors but I do have breast milk bags and a medela pump as well as a wearable one. Is it too early to start collecting? I don’t know what else to do with it and I feel like it’s going to waste.
