Reoccurring yeast infection

So I went to the doctor September 1st and got diagnosed with a yeast infection. I was given a cream to apply on my vulva and 1 dose of diflucan. About 2 weeks later (September 15), the symptoms came back so I started the cream again and was given another dose of diflucan. Well here I am almost 5 weeks after (October 18th) the 2nd time it occurred and I’m super itchy again. It’s just my vulva where the pubic hair grows and I just don’t know what to do. I am obviously going to call my doctor in the morning but this is my first time ever dealing with a yeast infection and I’m just not sure what to do. I did shave some time between September 24-28 (don’t remember the date) and started itching about a few days later which I thought was from the hair growing back but it’s been itchy here and there but today I was just super super itchy. It was a stupid idea and I’m not sure why I even decided to shave. Any advice on what I can do? Anything new I should request from my doctor?
