Baby rejecting one boob?

Question

Very new to breast feeding. My baby absolutely hates nursing on my right boob. I can’t figure out why. Tried all sorts of positions etc. it didn’t bother me until right now as my milk came in and now that boob is so sore.  I need to release the pressure. 
How can I get him to nurse there?!
Update: thank you everyone for your advice!! I expressed a bit before and he latched so much better and stayed on the boob for ages. Must’ve been too fast and full for him! The relief!

My daughter hated to nurse on my left, and it took me a bit to sort out why. I realized my right has a quicker letdown and my left took more "work" so when my daughter was hungry she was like "nah mom this ain't it". I'd nurse her on the right while I would hand express on the left until I got it flowing, then try to latch her, and that worked for me. She still has a preference for the right side but is willing to nurse off left unless she's hangry and then we do right first then swap lol. I've also heard sometimes it can be because the letdown is too fast so it's hard for baby to drink. If that was the case I believe you can express some by hand or pump a little off that side and then try latching baby so it's not flowing so quickly. I'm not an expert as Ive only been nursing my first baby for 8m but hope this is helpful!

Hand express a bit before latching! 
You likely are too full and it’s hard to latch or your letdown is too forceful! Expressing a little will help.

Babies will pick their favorites boob and whichever easier for them to eat. Which is normal. But try to feed them both sides. ( hate having 1 big and 1 small boobs ) 😅

That’s common, my daughter had a favourite side too. I think I used to offer the reject boob first when she was most hungry and willing to take what she could get lol. I also would sometimes keep her in one position and turn my own body to “trick” her. Eventually it passed and she didn’t have a preference anymore.

Like others said it could have to do with the flow from that breast, either told slow or too fast, but it could also have to do with tightness in her neck or spine.  Try taking the baby to a chiropractor that treats babies. It has made a huge difference for my son and his latching.

Might be too full. Try squeezing some out before baby eats.
