I've been dumb and not focused on my career believing my ex had my best interests in mind and would support my future aspirations after I helped him get through school... well now I'm on my own and want to make sure to rely on myself

Ive been pretty good at any job I try. What I succeed the most in is customer service. Once I have a good base knowledge of things I remember them pretty well and can figure out the tips and tricks to give people an even better experience. I can adjust, change on the fly, and am resilliant on even the toughest of days. Ive been a server, receptionist at uni, done fast food, nannies, and quasi retail (supermarket), and banking. Ive been working since 15 and but just have no passion towards any specific area of expertise (i think being a jack of all trades has caused that. Its hard to pick what you want to do when you're pretty good at most things but not EXCELLENT at any one thing)

What I lack in is self starting. And I'm not meaning self starting when I have my duties and whatnot I need to do, I mean like.... in an enterpernuial sense. I cannot just come up with things out of thin air like many people seem to do. I work well within a framework of expectations but I do not like having to build my own frame if that makes sense.

I dont need a lot just a basic list of things I'm expected to do, which most jobs have just not like self employed positions.

The two positions ive ruled out that I was interested in are nursing and teaching because I have a condition that makes me a little more susceptible to getting sick and working with kids or in medical aren't a great situation for someone like me. Could I do it? Probably. Would I spend literally every second of my PTO on being sick and never getting a vacation? Yes. And I dont want that.

What positions out there pay enough to live on? Most "customer service" jobs (I use the term loosely. More like interpersonal communications) are very low paying. Like minimum wage.

Any suggestions?
