When did your toddler stop napping?

My two year old (just turned two) has a very hard time falling asleep at time. It takes him an hour, sometimes longer than that, to fall asleep. I was putting him down at 7, then pushed it back to 8, and he still struggles. Is this a sign he may be done with a nap during the day? How old was your toddler when they dropped the nap?

My son will be 2 in a couple weeks and dropped napping like 3 months ago. I would still try consistently during the day but he never would. Dropping the naps has helped him go to bed earlier and sleep better throughout the night. Hell only nap during the day if we have a longer car ride during the day for some reason, but if we’re just home , no naps.

My two year old went through this phase. I just tried putting her down for nap at different times. And having a more stimulating mornings. Some days it’s really hit or miss. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I also tried doing a nap time routine of reading books, turning tv off, soft play, and telling her we are getting ready for nap. She just went through this so I really don’t know if it’s the answer but something you could try🤷🏽‍♀️

My son stopped napping just after turning 2. We kept trying for a few months but even quiet rest time was becoming shorter and shorter. As soon as we stopped napping, he started sleeping all night(12-13 hours) and his overall behavior improved. He just turned 4 and hasn’t napped in almost 2 years.

Past toddlerhood lol. My 6yo stopped when she was 5 because they stopped them at daycare to prepare for kindergarten. My 3yo still naps and needs them. They both had that phase around their 2nd birthday where they had a difficult time with sleep but it only lasted a few weeks. Bedtime has always been around 9pm here until the 6yo stopped napping, now it’s closer to 8:30 for her.

Mine are 2 & 3 and still nap. There’s some mom’s in my 2 year old’s group that have kids that stopped already.
