What is going on with my vagina???

Since several weeks ago, I experienced an intense itch on the outer sides of my vagina. From my memory, itching started after I left soap (Doctor Bronners) on for too long in the shower and it started burning. The itch is worse at night and unnoticeable during the day. My discharge is pretty normal, there’s no odor and it doesn’t hurt to pee. I do wear clean and soft cotton underwear. I just have itching at night. I originally thought it was from having sex with my boyfriend but that doesn’t make sense.
