Toddler does not sleep
The title says it all. For starters, my son has been a terrible napper his entire life. He does not nap for longer than 40minutes to 1 hour at a time unless he is sick. when he was 10 months daycare moved him into the young toddler room and they only take one nap on there, so now he only naps 1 hour a day, which is obviously not enough. We put him to bed between 7-8 and that’s pretty much the earliest we can put him down since I don’t get home with him until 6:20. Putting him down initially has never been the issue, it’s that he wakes up through the night multiple times. And it’s not just that he wants us to comfort him, he wants to play. This morning he woke up at 3am and I brought him into our bed and he just kept sitting up and climbing all over me. I’m at a loss. We tried sleep training, I’m not opposed to it but it didn’t really work. I’m so freaking tired. And honestly this can’t be healthy for him? I thought toddlers were supposed to sleep 11-14 hours and he sleeps maybe 8-10. Is there anything I can do?
