Mom's who have had 2 under 2 what are your tips?

We knew it would be challenging but man with my 16 month old having an ear infection and being home with my newborn (1 week old) it has been tough. The mom guilt is a bit overwhelming also I always feeling like whichever one isn't getting the attention at the moment is being neglected. Any tips tricks or secrets to having 2 under 2 would be very much appreciated!

Give youself grace. You won't be perfect and neither will the kids. It's okay to be perfectly imperfect. In the early days we had the kids on opposite schedules so when one was awake the other was asleep. It worked well for the first few months, but eventually the kids slowly got on similar schedules. Our oldest just turned 2 and our youngest turns 1 in  a few days. They're 14 months apart. I learned that sometimes the sibling squabbles need to be resolved between themselves. I can't always come to the rescue. If you start to get overstimulated with too kuch crying I highly suggest earbuds. You can listen to music, a podcast, an audiobook, ect on low to distract yourself when the going gets rough. We do spend individual time with each child every single day. In the evenings my husband and I switch off and on so that he can have alone time with each child. I get the chance during the day.

As a mother for 3 under 4 I completely understand this. My older 2 are 14 months apartment and I had major mom guilt when I had my 2nd bc my son was barley 14 months old. What I did to guarantee my kids got 1:1 time was when one kids was napping I would do an activity with the other and vice versa. On the weekends when my husband was home I would take my oldest out on mommy dates. This was also during prime Covid days so it was extremely difficult. Just know you are doing your best and your kids love you no matter what. Don’t stress about it
