Stupid question

I know the mucus plug can regenerate however I’m 38 weeks & 3 days at midnight, we’ll the past couple hours I’ve been loosing my mucus plug constantly, and super thick and ALOT here and there. No blood however. My question is, when I was checked a couple days ago she said baby was really low, but she could still feel the membranes. Is that what’s coming out now ( the membranes ) or ? Does this mean labors near? I’m so anxious cause I’m almost 5cm as it is. & I’ll have contractions but then they’ll stop. Just super anxious all together. This is my fourth baby.
