Early miscarriage

I had someone tell me that an early miscarriage isn't even a real miscarriage. The pain is real the bleeding is real the emotional damage is real. So because I wasn't past 5/6 weeks my miscarriage isn't real? I started bleeding yesterday and passed clots this morning. I was only 4 weeks and 3 days. Am I silly for being emotional about it. This would have been my husband's and my first. I have two daughters from a previous marriage. Picture of my pup who hasn't let me outta his sight in the last 24 hours. He's laid in the bathroom with me all morning.
