How did you know you were done?

I am an only child and I always wanted 2. Struggled with loss and infertility so felt blessed when I had my child. Almost died during childbirth so that was traumatic as well. I was good with just my one, but lately I am on the fence. I'm 37 as well so have to factor that in. Advice please for older moms as well. Tia

I’m mom to a single child and definitely do NOT want more. I love how much time and effort I can pour into my child. There’s no way I could do that with multiple.

I’m 27, I have 2… I really would love to have 1-3 more kids. But at the same time I don’t feel my health can handle the demand of the 2 I’ve got now, and definitely not with the sleep deprivation. I do “have time” though. I’m gonna give it 2-3 years and see how I feel about another one at that point but we might be done. Always wanted a big family but having kids has been rough on us. We love them and are so thankful for our sweet babies, buuutttt it’s been hard just the same. 
My mom had 4 kids and didn’t start till she was 31! She had all 4 of us from 31-45 years old, normal low risk pregnancies, never any difficulties. She’s almost 60 now and still has regular periods lol. 
We grew up around a LOT of big families (6+ kids, some were in the 9+ category) and those ladies were in their 40s with newborns- no pregnancy complications for any of them!! Try not to stress too much! You have more time than you think to make your decision ❤️

I'm an only child and always wanted two. I begged my Mom for a sibling but I was also lonely because she was a single Mom who worked nights and I was always at my grandparents. My son is 3.5 and I still have no desire to have anymore. I had an easy pregnancy and labor but a tough post partum and I just have no desire to have another. I love my son with all my heart and I'm able to give him my full attention and take him on trips and spoil him. He's all I need. I'm 99% sure I'm OAD. Its a tough choice.

It’s a hard decision. I always wanted 2 or 3, but it turned out after my first I hate being a SAHM and we can’t afford daycare for more than one kid at a time. My daughter is starting Kindergarten in September so we might try this year. But I had another health issue crop up this year that may put a stop to it all anyway. 
As for 37, I asked another group I’m in what it was like to have a baby over 35 (because I’ll be there myself). I know the risk factors, but I wanted to hear experiences. 99% of them were very encouraging!
