Do any of y’all send y’all’s kids to daycare just to be alone during the day? I have the opportunity to send my 3 yr old for free since I’m in school online but idk if I want to I feel bad I sent her once n she didn’t like it no one played with her n they were mean so the place said I could switch her to another daycare of my choice but idk if I should just keep her home she seems bored at home though since we can’t go outside it’s too cold but idk what to do.. she will be 4 in April. I also have a 8 month old but she’s still too little to play with her…

I mean really the socialization is healthy for kids so don’t feel bad! The first day I’m sure would be rough for most kids but I’m sure once she’s used to it it won’t be a bad thing for her anymore. It’s not like you’re doing nothing either, you would have time to clean, focus on baby, do school, recharge, etc!

So I haven’t worked in 8 months and except for the summer my kids have gone to daycare. I still send them because I needed to hold their spots for when I do go back to work (next week finally), and I can’t get anything done with them home. I use that time to run errands and do serious housework that they hinder. I honestly have no clue how stay at home moms do it!!! I’m not sure how I managed as a working mom either. Daycare is really good for socialization. It’s also good for building up their immune system before starting kindergarten. If it’s free, I’d definitely send my kid at least a couple days a week. I pay, so mine went/go most days. I pay entirely too much money for them to sit at home driving me crazy😂😂😂

I always sent my kids because they need socialization. When kindergarten starts you can always tell the kids that stayed home because they seem to be the ones crying and upset. My kids always ran in because they loved playing with other kids.

I’m not a SAHM but My son goes to daycare on my days off and my husbands day off 🤷🏻‍♀️ even if I was a SAHM I would send him to half day preschool or Mother’s Day out or something. Power to other moms I find it 100% impossible to do anything productive when he is home alone with me he basically just dumps everything Im putting away right out. he’s also a terrible napper unless I nap with him so I don’t have a consistent chunk of time by myself

Even when I’m off or my husband is off, we still send him to daycare. But we also pay for daycare so we utilize it. Take time for yourself if you can, it’s necessary.
