2 miscarriages this year at 41
I dont know what to do and am looking for advice. I am 41, just had my first child May 2021. In Feb of this year we got pregnant, we were so excited becauae we want our kids to be close in age. In April on easter sunday, i had a miscarriage with heavy bleeding and had to go to the ER. I was devastated. I didnt get out of bed for a week. I was 10 weeks, but ultrasound showed an ovum but no sac, no baby. We waited out the summer and on Sept 22nd we found out we were pregnant again! Everything was going fine, i had all the symptoms, lots of morning sickness, extremely tired, all the normal 1st trimester things. Then one day in late Oct i had spotting and called the dr. She brought me in for an ultrasound and this time there was a very small embryo, no fetal pole and I knew we were doomed. Nov 1st I had another miscarriage. I dont know what to do, am I too old? My doc only says, you can try again after your next normal period. Its harder at your maternal age. Thanks for the confidence. I have only ever taken pre-natals and start them as soon as we find out. Is there something I am missing that I should be doing? Should I just stop trying? Has anyone else been through this? I know my window is closing, and we dont want our son to be an only child. Im just so on the fence about trying again 😭😭
