When does this stage pass!?

My 9 month old will whine until I pick him up. I went to the bathroom and put his laundry in the dryer. But he just cried until I picked him up. He took a nap, fresh diaper, and fed. He either goes in his walker or on his floor mat with a ton of toys. Crinkle books, stuff that make sound, and the little people cars.

My daughter was like that. She didn't have colic, but she LOVED being held. It took until she was 11 months for her to be content for 1-2 min on the floor while I did something else (and even then, she was only okay with this on occasion). Things got much better once she consistently wanted to play with toys. Hopefully this stage passes soon for you!

My little one has always been very independent from the get-go, but occasionally just wants to be held. Enjoy it! ☺️ If it’s becoming a problem, try getting on the floor with your baby instead, and play together. That way baby has your attention and will get used to not being picked up at every cry.

Is he board? Do you have him in a swing, pack and play, bouncer etc with some toys, things he can touch, kick, things that make sounds etc?
